Corks Restaurant will host a fundraiser for Haiti organized by Zan Dominick.  Live music featuring the Niagara Rythym Section- voted #1 Blues Band 2008, 2009 at the Niagara Music Awards. 

The goal is to raise enough money to purchase Shelter Boxes that cost $1000.00 each.  The Shelter Box program is an international disaster relief charity that delivers  emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide.

A Shelter Box is a large, rugged plastic container that holds a high-tech 10-person tent, that holds thermal blankets, insulated ground sheets, a multi-fuel stove, cooking utensils, collapsible water containers, water purification tablets, a basic toolkit and a childrens educational pack.

If you cannot attend the event, donations will be accepted at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce, 26 Queen Street and online at www.niagaraonthelake.com
